The Daikundi Development Initiative

Daikundi is a mountainous province in central Afghanistan. While breathtakingly beautiful, it is also among the least developed regions in Afghanistan. The majority of its inhabitants belong to the Hazara ethnic minority, who have been oppressed for centuries and driven into inhospitable mountain regions.
Our initiative aims to assist communities in Miramor district of Daikundi to implement small-scale projects to enhance their economic opportunities.
The Irrigation Pool
In the small hamlet Bagh we assisted the locals and helped them build a new irrigation pool for their almond trees. The new pool will allow them to water trees further from the water source and plant new trees.
Ramadan Distribution
In this holy month of Ramadan we are trying our best to help the people. On April 13th, Naim and a friend went to the village of Folad and distributed cash and dates to 20 families.
About us
At Daikundi Development Initiative, our objective is to support locals to implement small-scale infrastructure projects to enhance economic opportunities. We believe the locals know best how to improve their situation. Ours is a private initiative. Fanny Dellinger is supporting the activities of the team with donations from Austria. Naim Yousufi is in charge of the activities in Daikundi, Afghanistan.
